Spotlight on Van Gogh
With this year marking the death of Vincent Van Gogh 125 years ago, Art Square Amsterdam will be among the many museums and artists paying tribute to the master. The tribute includes a 2.3 metre high bronze statue of the artist as well as photos, paintings and other Van Gogh inspired art created by the general public as part of a national competition. In addition, sculptor Gabriel Sterk has created a bronze commemorative coin as part of the 125th anniversary of Van Gogh’s death, 100 of which have been issued.
