During the Jheronimus Bosch Year, attention will be paid to contemporary artists as part of the Bosch Grand Tour, an extensive exhibition programme resulting from a unique collaboration between the Van Abbemuseum<\/a> in Eindhoven, De Pont museum<\/a> in Tilburg,\u00a0MOTI Museum of the Image<\/a> in Breda,\u00a0Natuurmuseum Brabant<\/a> in Tilburg,\u00a0Het Noordbrabants Museum<\/a> in ‘s-Hertogenbosch,\u00a0Stedelijk Museum<\/a> ‘s-Hertogenbosch and the\u00a0TextielMuseum<\/a> in Tilburg.<\/p>\n

In 2016, Het Noordbrabants Museum will be presenting the major retrospective \u2018Jheronimus Bosch \u2013 Visions of genius\u2019. His masterpieces will be shown in the city where they were made.
\nUnder the name Bosch Grand Tour presenting seven leading Brabantse museums contemporary exhibition program alongside the exhibition Hieronymus Bosch, visions of a Genius (13 February – May 8, 2016) in the North Brabant Museum. All the occasion of the 500th year of death of Hieronymus Bosch (Hieronymus Bosch).<\/p>\n

The Museum Quarter ‘s-Hertogenbosch<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the exhibition Hieronymus Bosch, visions of a genius in the Noordbrabants Museum makes a visit to the Stedelijk Museum ‘s-Hertogenbosch part of the ticket. You will visit the two museums under one roof: the Museum Quarter ‘s-Hertogenbosch.<\/p>\n

We managed to get tickets. Friday at 15 hrs we were welcomed. It was stated that 1.5 hours was enough to see everything. For us it was really too short. The drawings and the digital information, such as viewing details, movies, etc. there was not enough time for us. We had to confine ourselves to the paintings. But what aextraordinary paintings! Beautiful colours! Sublime imagination. And everything very detailed. These are visual books, for people who could not read nor write. (At that time, the late Middle Ages, it was common). A lust for the eye. Beautiful and terrible at the same time. It really was a visit to a genius. The Brabants Museum says: Hieronymus Bosch, visions of a genius.<\/p>\n

The exhibition itself is a lust for the eyes. I think the Dutch museums are very good at presenting art. Nice and sober colored walls, very well illuminated. Lots of information in any form. Audio tour, film and video presentations, and of course the information written on the wall and through a booklet in which each exhibited piece is treated.<\/p>\n

First of course we drank coffee and tea in the museum restaurant with an original Bossche Bol<\/strong> from baker Jan de Groot. Then we visited The Fish Pond Song by Jeroen Kooijmans. Inspired by Hieronymus Bosch and the world since 9\/11. This monumental video installation can be seen in the Stedelijk Museum ‘s Hertogenbosch. During the period February 13 t \/ m 8 May, this exhibition only to visit with a ticket for the Jheronimus Bosch exhibition.<\/p>\n
