Lawrence Alma-Tadema,
one of my favorite painters, can now be seen on display in the Fries Museum in Leeuwarden. That will be enjoying again! Alma-Tadema – classic seduction runs from October 1, 2016 to February 7, 2017.

20 years ago, in 1996 (time flies) his works were shown at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, and I sat there weekly, always looking at another painting. I could not get enough of it. Painted so handsome, so very beautiful. I am glad that I will get the opportunity again to drink in these fantastic paintings. Unfortunately Leeuwarden is much further away than Amsterdam. I was lucky then i 1996, it was almost next door. Now I have nevertheless to travel quite a long distance. I hope to be able to go there more than once.

Het ligt ongeveer 5 minuten lopen uit elkaar.
Hi Connie, geen gek idee! We gaan met de trein. De reis duurt 2:10 tot 2:30 u. Als Museum Tresoar vlakbij het Fries Museum ligt, èn er is tijd voor, dan zal ik zeker gaan kijken. Maar beloven kan ik het niet. Wellicht tot ziens? groeten, Rineke
Als je nou toch naar Alma Tadema gaat, is het wellicht leuk om in het verlengde daarvan even bij historisch en Letterkundig museum Tresoar aan te gaan. Daar hangt werk van 24 kunstenaars, o.a. van mij, die in zijn voetsporen zijn getreden.
