Lawrence Alma-Tadema,
one of my favorite painters, can now be seen on display in the Fries Museum in Leeuwarden. That will be enjoying again! Alma-Tadema – classic seduction runs from October 1, 2016 to February 7, 2017.

20 years ago, in 1996 (time flies) his works were shown at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, and I sat there weekly, always looking at another painting. I could not get enough of it. Painted so handsome, so very beautiful. I am glad that I will get the opportunity again to drink in these fantastic paintings. Unfortunately Leeuwarden is much further away than Amsterdam. I was lucky then i 1996, it was almost next door. Now I have nevertheless to travel quite a long distance. I hope to be able to go there more than once.
